On April 14 (Family Day) 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦, Thai visitors get FREE entry to national parks across Thailand 🇹🇭 as part of the Songkran festival 💦 celebrations.

📊 Huge Visitor Numbers

Nearly 300,000 people visited parks from April 11–13 😲, with over 127,000 visitors on April 13 alone 🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️. Around 21.1 million baht 💰 was collected in fees during these three days.

⚠️ Safety Measures in Place

Officials have increased safety efforts, including 24/7 rescue teams 🛟, extra monitoring at risky areas like waterfalls and steep viewpoints 🚧, and a “take your rubbish home” campaign 🗑️. A total of 29 accidents were reported in the first three days 🚨.

🆘 Notable Incidents

At Khao Nan National Park 🌊, a foreign girl was rescued after drowning and sent to hospital.

At Lam Nam Nan National Park 🏕️, a tourist slipped, received first aid, and was taken to hospital.
